RECOMMENDEDClosest airport, 6 km south of downtown. Metro Blue/Yellow/Silver lines connect DCA to Gallery Place (Capital One Arena) in about 20 minutes. Most convenient for domestic travelers.
Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)
Main international hub, 40 km west. Metro Silver Line connects IAD to downtown in about 45 minutes. Uber/Lyft to downtown costs $50-70.
Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI)
Budget airline hub (Southwest), 45 km northeast. MARC Train or Amtrak to Union Station takes 30-40 min. Uber/Lyft to downtown costs $50-80.

Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro is steps from Capital One Arena. Red, Yellow, and Green lines serve this station β the easiest option from anywhere in DC.
Hotels in Penn Quarter/Chinatown are a short walk to Capital One Arena.
π Visa Requirements
ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization): Apply at esta.cbp.dhs.gov before travel. Costs $21, valid for 2 years. Required for all Visa Waiver Program countries. Canadian citizens need neither ESTA nor a visa.
