Miami International Airport (MIA)
RECOMMENDEDMain Miami airport, 11 km from downtown. Metrorail Orange Line connects to downtown in ~30 minutes for $2.25. Uber/Lyft to downtown costs $25-40.
Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International (FLL)
Budget airline hub (Spirit, Frontier, Southwest), 45 km north of Miami. Uber/Lyft to Miami costs $45-70. Tri-Rail connects FLL to Miami, but takes ~1 hour.
Book tip: Fly in April 11, fly out April 13. Miami fight weekend demand is high β book hotels 2+ months early.
π Airport β Hotel
Most convenient option. Pick up from the rideshare lot at MIA terminal. Traffic on I-95 can add time during rush hours.
Affordable option. Orange Line from MIA to Brickell or Government Center (downtown). EASY Card available at airport.
π₯ Hotel β Kaseya Center
If staying downtown or Brickell, Kaseya Center is walkable along Biscayne Boulevard and Bayfront Park.
For South Beach hotels. Post-fight surge pricing expected β plan to wait or walk a block before requesting.
π Visa Requirements
ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization): Apply at esta.cbp.dhs.gov before travel. Costs $21, valid for 2 years. Required for all Visa Waiver Program countries. Canadian citizens need neither ESTA nor a visa.

- βDon't leave valuables visible in rental cars, especially near the beach.
- βMiami traffic can be intense. Allow extra time for Uber/Lyft on fight night.

- βBeware of overpriced drinks at tourist-facing nightclubs and bars. Explore local spots in Wynwood or Little Havana.
